Lauren Busheikin (b'-SHAKE-in) has spent her whole life performing and the past three years establishing herself as a singer-songwriter in Edmonton’s music scene. With a versatile musical background ranging from classical to jazz, Lauren creates a unique blend in her songs that have listeners humming along. She was a finalist in the Calgary Folk Festival’s 2009 and 2011 songwriting contests and won a judges' discretionary prize in the Newcomer category. After receiving a recording grant from Rawlco Radio, Lauren released her debut album, We Love, in April 2011.  With a diploma in vocal performance from MacEwan University as well as over eighteen years of performance experience, her thoughtful lyrics and mature vocal style will leave listeners wanting more.  Read more
